In a must-win scenario, Patrick Murphy and the Alabama softball came through against the Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday night with a 2-1 victory from inside a rocking Rhoads Stadium. The dynamic duo of Jaala Torrence and Montana Fouts from the mound helped keep the Crimson Tide in the contest. Torrence and Fouts combined for seven innings of work surrending just seven hits and one run against the Wildcats. Senior Ashley Prange and freshmen Larissa Preuitt came through for the Tide in the top of the seventh to break the 1-1 tie with Prange driving Preuitt in with an RBI double.
